Casino Del Sol Resort is hosting a variety of specials at its restaurants in celebration of the holiday season. Holiday feasts, spirited dinners, live music, handcrafted cocktails, and more will be featured on the property.
On Christmas Eve, December 24, the Tequila Factory will feature a Surf and Turf dinner from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $25 per person. The dinner includes a 12 oz. Chile Dusted Prime Rib with a Cabernet Herb Au Jus, topped with three grilled Jumbo Mexican White Shrimp. The meal is served with a baked potato stuffed with Calabasitas and Elote Sauce.
Christmas Day, December 25, will feature Chef Erik’s Merry Christmas Dinner at PY Steakhouse. From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., gusts can enjoy a three-course dinner for $45 per person. The first course includes Sweet Corn Bisque with Dungeness Crab Fritter, followed by Braised Lamb Shank, horseradish mashed potatoes, Thumbelina carrots, and Orange Mint Gremolata as the entrée. On Thursday, the Pascua Yaqui Tribal Council and Casino Del Sol management announced the temporary closure of Casino Del Sol, Casino of the Sun, the Resort, and Estrella at Casino Del Sol effective Monday, Dec. 7, 2020 at 11 a.m.. The plan includes reopening to the public on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at 8 a.m.
“Our experience with safety, distancing, and cleaning protocols, has been both positive and effective,” the organization announced on its website. “Yet we ask ourselves, what can we do as a part of this community to help slow the spread of the virus? Sewailo Golf Club will remain open during this time. The Del Sol Marketplace will remain open with limited hours from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The RV Park will also remain open.
